Freebies Fly in this February!

The February downloads are now up for grabs! You can choose from any of the wallpapers, MSN themes and icons, and other stuff for absolutely free! Animated E-Cards on SanrioTown

Getting bored with plain ol’ pictures? Check out the E-Cards section of SanrioTown and see animated greetings that you and your friends would be glad to give and receive!

These are just a couple of the new designs you can send/download. These aren’t just limited to the holiday seasons: animated E-cards are available on virtually every category on SanrioTown, so you can send a cool greeting card to your loved ones for just about every occasion.

You can do so by logging in to your SanrioTown account. If you haven’t got one yet, register now – it’s free!

RSS Feeds on the SanrioTown Blogs

SanrioTown‘s going through a lot of changes right now, as you probably have noticed.:D Another improvement that we’ve made recently is the addition of the RSS Reader to every blog on SanrioTown. Have you noticed the four little boxes with Hello Kitty, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, and CoroCoro Kuririn at the bottom of every blog here? These are the RSS readers. What are they for, you ask? Simple: they present to you quick snippets of the latest posts made on the official blogs: the SanrioTown Main Blog, Ishida’s FAQ Blog, Hello Kitty World, and Blog All-Stars. This means that the news will be delivered directly to your blog doorstep, and you can click on the topics/articles that interest you the most right from there. You don’t have to constantly visit these sites to check out

what’s the latest, because it’s already given to you.

The best part is that you don’t have to go through a complicated procedure to set it up on your blog, because it’s already there by default. All you have to do is scroll to the bottom of the page and you can click on the blog entries’ titles at your convenience.

Focus on: Under Construction

Looks like Badtz Maru’s got some construction jobs to do! Be his engineering partner and help him cover the construction sites by pushing the sandpiles over these.

Move these using the arrow keys. You can walk over these construction sites. However, once you’ve covered these already (as shown by two wooden planks forming an “X” over the holes), you cannot do so anymore, so careful planning and strategizing are needed so that you’ll be able to complete the task.

Once you’re done with the current screen, another, more difficult map will show up for you to solve. Your score is determined by the number of moves you make for each puzzle, so try and finish it in as few keystrokes as possible.

Focus on: Badtz Maru Runner

Looks like Badtz-Maru is in trouble again, and this time with his pet crocodile, Pochi!

Keep the little guy from taking a bite out of our mischievous penguin by giving the exact same number that floating above him. Use the left or right arrow keys to find the right digit and then the down button to knock out Pochi.

Be careful, though, because the little crocodile brought a lot of reinforcements: a whole army of Pochis! Hana Maru also appears from time to time (everytime the eliminated numbers come up with a sum that’s divisible by 10, to be exact). His appearance would be helping XO, though: if the number he’s holding is matched, all the other Pochis on the screen will also be knocked off too.

There are 16 Pochis per level, the succession of appearances becoming increasingly faster as the game progresses. Getting Pochi will give you 10 marks, while Hana Maru makes you gain the same, plus 50 bonus points.

Blog of the Week!

As a special treat for everyone today, we’ll be featuring two blogs instead of one! One is from you, our very special SanrioTown members, and the other is an official blog that we’re sure you’ll be very excited to read on. We won’t make you read a long introduction (we know you’re pretty excited!), so let’s get on with the features!

First on our list is ChezKoi’s World. The owner, Cheza, is obviously a very colorful, cheerful person, and it shows in her blog! Her entries are literally filled with color, because she uses a lot of different hues and shades on her text. Don’t think her entries are just about eye candy and nothing else, though. She’s got fun stories that are very interesting and funny as well.

Next on our list is the official SanrioTown Blog on the upcoming “Hello Kitty and Friends” 3-D animation. For those who don’t know yet, Sanrio will be coming out with a new series on some of the characters you’ve come to know and love.

“The Adventures of Hello Kitty and Friends 3D” blog talks about news and information about the upcoming series, and also gives fun little trivia about the stories behind the creations of the episodes.

Focus on: XO Cave Adventure

XO Cave Adventure is the latest in the arsenal of games that can be played in SanrioTown.  Being the adventurous little penguin that Badtz Maru is, he goes on an Antarctic cave exploration trip, and it’s up to you to guide him through it! 

 

Aside from the cave’s stalactites and stalagmites, some creepy-crawly creatures are also in the way to keep XO from having a smooth flight. Not to worry though, XO has his weapon of choice: his handy flashlight! Left-click to  turn it on and make the cave dwellers disappear.

Badtz Maru can have a maximum of three flashlights, and can replenish his supply by collecting the ones on his way. Aside from these, he can also collect hearts (a maximum of five), which indicates the number of times he can be hit. There are also stars that boost a player’s score by 100 points for each one collected.

The game is action/adventure, something that people of all ages would just love to play. Guiding a flying Badtz Maru who wears a red cape is a special bonus as well.:D
