Talk about a water fan! Rupapa is a kappa, a Japanese river sprite who is naturally good in every kind of water sport. While he is from a river, he also loves hanging out at the beach, spending his afternoons there to nap. He loves snacking on his favorite food, freshly-picked fruit.
Our chosen video this week not only is cute, but is also for a good cause. Baby Seal Pics, made by mickey1928, shows exactly that: pups in different and various poses in their natural snowy surroundings all looking really adorable. The creator of the video, however, asks people to help preserve these, maybe because they’re being hunted for commercial purposes.

Who doesn’t love random things to perk their day up? Virtual Rain definitely does, and we picked her blog because visiting her blog makes us chuckle just about every time.
“V i R t U a L r A i N” is a blog that its creator/owner proudly describes as “about everything and nothing… random, light, and fun,” and it delivers just that. All its entries are humorous, and the topics varied: weird street signs, ads, and warning labels, strange items, and peculiar (if not downright disturbing) signs and pictures. It’s a smorgasboard of all that is random, and it’s really great fun to see and read.
Maybe that’s the reason why the blog’s icon is an umbrella: because it covers just about any topic that’s under the sun… or rain.:P

The holiday fever is definitely picking up, and our featured items this week, like from last, certainly shows that. Sanrio Japan has released these Christmas stockings featuring Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll and the Shinkansen.
There are two kinds to choose from: the ones made to look like hard boots, which have two sets of designs.
They also have the traditional stockings usually hung over the fireplace or doors as decorations (or for Santa Claus to drop his present for you if you’ve been good the whole year :D).

Being a great fan of cucumbers, it comes as no surprise that Kappi is adept at playing his cucumber-flute. He’s quite the nature lover, he has many interesting and mysterious friends.
Celebrating birthdays has got to be one of the most fun events in a person’s life. It’s that single day in each year where they get to feel even more special and good about themselves, surrounded by their family and friends. It’s really great, knowing that you’re also loved by the people you care about.
For the Sanrio fans out there, you probably know that one of your favorite characters celebrated her birthday just a few days ago. That’s right: we’re talking about Hello Kitty, and her sister too! November 1 marked the 33rd anniversary of her bringing happiness to the lives of people. A character she might be, but throughout the years, she’s been considered as a close friend by a variety of individuals.
This week’s video of the week shows Kitty and Mimmy being surrounded by their friends. Simply entitled “Kitty and Mimmy’s Birthday Party,” yoshisland made her video as the title said: favorite Sanrio characters like Chococat, Badtz-Maru, My Melody, and Pochacco got together to throw a party for the twin kittens, some even bearing gifts! The video’s really fun to watch, because it created a sense of unity for the characters, by gathering them together to celebrate the birthday not only of one, but two of their own! It’s really festive and fun, something that Hello Kitty and Sanrio fans would really love.

Since we’re starting to hear this and similar songs wherever we go, it just means we’re getting close to Christmas! It’s a little more than a month before we reach the holiday season, and Sanrio’s already feeling festive. Proof is that they released a plush Hello Kitty Snowman, white in the front and pink at the back. It also has a tiny Hello Kitty mascot in the back pocket you can remove to carry along in your bag or mobile phone. Now, people who live in tropical countries can still enjoy the wonders of snow in a cute and cuddly package.
